Barriers in the Workplace that cause Poor Communication

Communication in any environment does not "just happen” there must be some kind of communication strategy in place. Effective communication requires an effective communication strategy - a coherent plan of action. To be effective, the communication strategy must take three factors into account:

  • Listening
  • Understanding what is said (making sense of what is told to you)
  • Responding accordingly
